What better place to learn about the sea than in Bournemouth, where we have beautiful sandy beaches? Your child will have so much fun in this workshop!
In this workshop, children perform experiments linked to the ocean, they learn how the salty sea makes things float easily, make waves and create their very own ocean in a bottle, including a special magical swimming octopus. They also learn what sand really is and develop their understanding of how it is made and make their own sand. They will then have a show all about sea creatures in our fully digital planetarium, where they will sing to save the reef!. They also have free access to play in the Sensory and Dinosaur Den.
This workshop is aimed at pre school aged children and costs £5 + VAT. The session starts at 10:30am. Pre-booking and payment is required in advance. We do require a parent or guardian to stay with attending children for all of our sessions. One £6.00 (£5.00 + VAT) ticket entitles 1 CHILD and 1 ADULT to attend a Science Zone Workshop. Please note there is an additional charge of £2.00 for any extra non participating children and/or adults limited to three per workshop due to space constrictions.
