In this workshop children will be exploring and learning about why things glow in the dark! They have fun with fluorescence, phosphorescence and chemiluminesence and learn the difference at the same time. They will be making their own fluorescent slime, have fun with fluoresenct paint, watch an egg glow in the dark...and much much more! They will also be writing secret messages, that will be revealed under UV light! They will then experience a show in our planetarium all about light and see the northern lights.

This workshop is for children aged 3 years and above. It lasts approximately an hour and costs £5 +VAT. The session starts 2pm and lasts an hour.  Advance payment and booking is required to secure a place. We do require a parent or guardian to stay with attending children for all of our sessions. One £6.00 (£5.00 + VAT) ticket entitles 1 CHILD and 1 ADULT to attend a Science Zone Workshop. Please note there is an additional charge of £2.00 for any extra non participating children and/or adults up to a maximum of 3 due to space constrictions.
